UPDATE ON PROGRESS
The consultation period closed on 25th January 2010.
On 13th January PAAL committee members delivered 746 letters of objection to Mr Ian Blake at East Sussex County Council. Of a total 1,800+ letters of objection received for all 5 sites, we believe that 1,000 related to the Piltdown/Newick site – so huge thanks to everyone who signed a letter or sent one in.

What Happens Next?
The council now have to review all the objections and then re-draft the policy based on the information they have been given. We have been given conflicting indications of how long this will take – ranging from two months to ten. We are assured however, that unlike the initial consultation, we will be kept directly informed and we are in contact with the Council’s Communications department to ensure that the process is improved in future.
